I’m Fariq, fiscal economist with a specialization in international tax law, and I’ve been working in the field for over two decades. My journey began at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where I completed my studies, and I started my career in 1996 at Arthur Andersen in the international tax practice. From there, I joined KPMG in 1998, where I had the opportunity to help develop their tax practice in Suriname. During that time, I advised multinational clients across industries like mining, construction, food, and lottery on their operations in South America.
After returning to The Netherlands in 2007, I continued my career as an international tax advisor at Tax Consultants International, helping multinational companies structure their business activities in and through the Netherlands. I later served as Group Tax Manager at JKX Oil & Gas Plc, a London-listed company, overseeing group tax matters across its operations in Ukraine and Russia.
In 2018, I took the leap to establish my own accounting and advisory practice, with offices in both Hoofddorp (near Amsterdam) and Suriname. Drawing on my global experience across various sectors, I am dedicated to helping businesses navigate complex tax and financial matters, delivering practical and effective solutions.
